I'm planning for…

Plan by date

Eclipse glasses take weeks to make and supply is finite, so the bigger the order, the earlier it should go in. How they are made. Work back from the day:

1. Now to early 2027

   Groups plan and register

Schools, P&Cs and clubs register for fundraising. Businesses start branded glasses: artwork is proofed before anything prints.

2. April 2027

   Group orders planned to open

Verified fundraising groups get their order link and can order boxes of 20 to 250 pairs.

3. Late 2027 to early 2028

   Councils and events confirm numbers

Order once the crowd estimate is set, leaving time for budget approval. Bulk cartons ship with the certification pack.

4. Term 2, 2028

   Schools order

22 July is a Saturday, so glasses go home on the last school day before it. In some states that may fall before the winter holidays: check your term dates. See the school safety plan.

5. By the end of June 2028

   Households order

Leaves time to check every pair. Where to buy, and what to check.

6. Saturday 22 July 2028

   Eclipse day

Eclipse from 12:41pm, totality 1:59:33pm to 2:03:21pm in the Sydney CBD, all over by 3:15pm. Arrive early at the best spots.
