How does pre-ordering work?
Tell us how many pairs you want and send the pre-order form. We reserve them from our NSW stock and confirm by e-mail within one business day. Nothing is paid now: we send an invoice before your order ships, well before 22 July 2028.
Are paper eclipse glasses safe for children?
Yes, with an adult watching. The filter is the same certified solar film in every pair. Children should wear them from the first moment they look up, and an adult should check the glasses stay on. For under-fives we recommend supervised viewing only, or a viewing projector rather than glasses.
Do eclipse glasses expire?
Undamaged glasses that meet ISO 12312-2 do not expire. What matters is condition. Before eclipse day, hold each pair up to a bright lamp: if you see any pinholes, scratches or peeling, throw that pair out. Each unit carries a QR code so you can confirm the batch and certification.
When do we need them on in Sydney?
For the whole eclipse, from first contact at 12:41pm to last contact at 3:15pm. That includes the 3 minutes 48 seconds of totality from 1:59pm to 2:03pm. Certified eclipse glasses stay on from the first bite to the last, inside the path of totality and outside it.
Can I use them with binoculars, a telescope or a camera?
No. Eclipse glasses are for viewing with your own eyes only. Concentrated light through a lens will burn through the filter and damage your eyes in an instant. Optics need a dedicated solar filter fitted to the front of the instrument.
Can we choose the frame print?
Yes. Orders ship in a single print by default: Aurasite Blue, Space, Blobs, Pink Blue or Landscape. Tell us your preferred print, or ask for a mix, on the pre-order form. For your own artwork, see custom-branded glasses.
Do you ship outside NSW?
Yes. Stock is held in NSW and ships Australia-wide. Shipping is quoted with your order and is included in the confirmation before anything is charged.
